The Maroon & Gold continue the 2017 Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Penn State's Nittany Lion Outdoor Track.

A native of Woodbury, Minn., Roese led the field in his first 800-meter race of the season last Wednesday behind a personal record of 1:49.63 at Concordia-St. Paul’s Sea Foam Stadium.

The University of Minnesota men's track & field program enters the championship segment of the outdoor campaign this weekend with the 2017 Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 12-14, at Penn State's Nittany Lion Outdoor Track.

The University of Minnesota men’s track & field program picked up a trio of top-10 performances in the discus over the weekend at Hamline’s Meet of the UnSaintly.

Among the Gophers titles at SeaFoam Stadium were a trio of personal records from Jonathan Webb in the 100 meters (10.54), Nate Roese in the 800 meters (1:49.63) and Joey Duerr in the 1,500 meters (3:50.76).

This year's event will kick off with both the golf and bike events starting at 1 p.m. followed by a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.
